P7 have been learning about the real people from our families who fought in the Great War. Using photos and information such as telegrams and letters from the War office in Perth we have discovered what life was like for our brave heroes.
Part of the challenge was to learn about The Somme in particular as we worked alongside a primary class from Amiens in France to carry out our learning. We learned a French poem and spoke French to the class online to share our learning. They recited a poem back to us and it was great fun.
