The P7 class had a very enjoyable trip to Benmore Botanic Garden in September.
The pupils were participating in workshops relating to photography and art in the garden surroundings.
Each pupil was encouraged to really look around at the gardens and observe the different shapes, shades and colours. They then had to use a camera and take one photo of their chosen subject. It was interesting to see the variety of perspectives that each individual pupil had!
After lunch in the Courtyard Gallery, the pupils made pictures on special paper using dried flowers and vegetation which developed through exposure to sunlight. Not the easiestconsidering it was quite a dull day, but the end results are quite stunning.
We would like to thank RBGE for allowing us to visit them, and it was great to only have to travel such a short distance to be able to appreciate the beautiful surroundings of Benmore Gardens.
